Hi Everyone,
I’ve been looking for something to do! Now that I don’t have a class to go to, Dad has been walking me a lot. The other day we invited Misty to go with us. She met us atHullPark. I really like to go there, it has a path aroundBoardmanLake. We forgot Misty was still young, and couldn’t walk as far as I can. Uncle Howard carried her a little way so she could rest. We met some “little people” and they all wanted to pet the “cute” puppy? They were looking at Misty – not ME? I remember when I was the cute puppy. When I go places by myself – I get the ATTENTION! I’ll get over it!
Mom still thinks I’m a “puppy” sometimes – and it’s not a good thing! I found a new game (I’m the only one that thinks it’s a “game”!) There are some baskets in the bathrooms, or a compactor in the kitchen, that have some white fluffy things I can eat? When I am being REAL quiet and can’t be found, Mom and Dad come looking for me? Dad calmly puts the baskets up on the counter so I can’t reach them, but Mom yells LEAVE IT and starts chasing me. She usually catches me and starts digging in my mouth! Its okay if she stops me from eating them, Kleenex doesn’t have a lot of flavor anyway!
Another “puppy” thing I have learned to stop doing is jumping on the sliding door. I didn’t think is was a big deal, but Mom did. She uses a spray bottle, (filled with water) and when I start scratching on the window she yells STOP and sprays me! Well, it didn’t take long to learn I shouldn’t do that? Now, when I see the spray bottle I just stop what I’m doing – that way I don’t get wet!
I don’t mind getting wet, but I should be in the tub having a bath? Dad starts the water, (to warm it up) and comes after me? I know what it means when I hear the water running, so I try to hide, or run in the opposite direction! After I go to “day care”, Mom says I “stink”? I think day care smells great, all of those dogs have a “good” odor to me! Anyway, I had my bath because Misty is coming over to play with me. I got to spend the evening with her while Mom and Dad went someplace. Now that I’m a “big girl”, I can go visit by myself!
I thought I was going to get an “Easter outfit”, but Mom said it was going to be too warm and I didn’t need another coat? Maybe she will change her mind now that the weather turned cold? Anyway, I did get an Easter toy – a duck! I’ve never had a duck before, but I love it! I just grab the “bill” and shake it! If you want to come over, I’ll let you play with it too!
Love and Puppy Kisses,
Ruby
