Hi Everyone,
LET ME OUT OF THIS HOUSE! Every time I went for a ride this week I had to stay in the car because it was raining! Dad tried to take me out for short walks when it wasn’t raining too hard. I still got REAL wet! I don’t have a rain coat (hint hint), just snow coats? Dad tried to get me some exercise inside – boy did we get in trouble? I have heard this before – don’t throw that ball in the house – something will get broken! Well, it did! I lost my ball behind the stereo speakers and Dad moved one to get the ball – he didn’t move the thing setting on top of the speaker! When he bumped the speaker – CRASH – the Galileo Thermometer fell and broke in LOTS of pieces. Not only was there glass all over, but the liquid inside the thermometer had a strong odor? Dad just about had it all cleaned up when Mom called to ask what we were doing? (How did she know something bad had happened?) Dad fessed up to the accident right away – it wasn’t MY fault? Mom didn’t get REAL upset, she just said we probably didn’t need another thermometer anyway?
Today was the first nice day, (no rain) so Dad thought we should go for a ride. Aunt Deb, Uncle Howard and Misty went too. Misty has become quite flatulent, I had noticed the last time she went for a ride with me and this time it wasn’t any better. I may not ask her to go again for awhile, unless she grows out of the problem, or maybe changes her diet? I’m sure she doesn’t know SHE stinks, because if you look at her she has a sweet innocent look on her face? Who ME? Well, it just so happened we were stopping at an asparagus farm the next time she had an SBD (Silent But Deadly) gas attack, so she didn’t embarrass us. Fortunately, she got out and did her “bombs away” and she was fine the rest of the day! I’m sure everyone wants to go to an asparagus farm? Mom and Dad have been going to this one in Empire for years, you weigh the amount you want, put it in a plastic bag, and drop your money in an old-fashioned mailbox? Can’t get any fresher than that!
We saw some other strange things, like a freshly painted fire hydrant that Dad just had to take a picture of? We walked in the sand at Crystal Lake, but when the waves came at us is was scary!
When we got to Empire we walked in the sand again, but didn’t get down to the water. I wanted to play Frisbee on the beach, but the sign said “Dogs Must Be On A Leash”. If I had my flexi-leash maybe I could have done it? There was another dog there that barked at us a lot. When his Mom started walking toward me and Misty, she knew we were Cavalier’s – because she had a tri-color Cavalier! (He was the barker!) After he met us he quit barking, and didn’t bark again? Do you think he knew we were family? Anyway, he lives in the Empire area and is over a year old. He hasn’t been to obedience training yet, but his Mom said she would like to take him, so we told her about Sam’s. His name is Ozzie, he was named after Ozzie Osborne. His Mom saw something about Ozzie one time on TV or someplace, where he had several Cavalier’s and since that time she always wanted a Cavalier! Ozzie has curlier fur than I do – and longer EARS! He needs one of those small water dishes that won’t let your ears get wet!
Love and Kisses,
Ruby
