Hi Everyone,
It started out like a regular walk, BUT it turned ugly and scary! Mom started down the road with Misty and me, and then we met Bailey and his Mom. We saw a strange truck coming out of the field on the two track, and there was heavy equipment in the field? Bailey’s Mom thought maybe we should go see what was going on?
We found a pile of logs, and could hear something coming from the woods where Bailey and his Mom usually walk? As we got closer, we found the trail had been covered up with branches that had been stripped from the trees before they were cut down! Bailey continued through the woods, over and under some of the branches. But, Misty and I were on our leashes and kept getting caught on the branches. (Why didn’t we turn around and find another way?)
Bailey’s Mom picked up Misty to carry her through the woods until we could find the walking trail? We couldn’t take Misty’s leash off – what if she got lost? Mom picked me up and tried stepping over the branches. That didn’t work, she couldn’t pick up her foot (she had her “birkies” on), because when she picked up her foot her shoe came off! Trying to hold me, find her shoe, get it back on without falling down was too much. She couldn’t put me down because we were surrounded by “pricker” bushes? (I didn’t want to try and walk in that mess!)
I guess you can figure out – we couldn’t find the path! We were going around in circles ! When we finally reached the clearing – we were by Molly’s house!
The next time we go to Molly’s – I’m taking the road! Sorry Bailey, I can’t follow you?
As you can see by the picture, I have been helping clean up the yard. I was really scared when a big gust of wind came along and blew a pile of leaves in my face? When it was time for Misty to go back home, I hid her leash (I can’t remember where) thinking she could stay longer? While raking leaves I was hunting for the leash, but it didn’t show up?
I met Gram’s new friend, Tracker. Tracker is the resident (hound) dog where Gram is staying (Leelanau Tendercare) until she is strong enough to go home. She is going to get some PT to help build up her strength. (I’m sure PT means Pet Therapy?) So I can visit her, (my shots are all up to date). They also have two cats that live there – I didn’t see them, but I saw some cute little birds. The birds are behind glass doors – I didn’t even bark at them! I was on my best behavior, so I can got back!
Love and Kisses,
Ruby
