Hi Everyone,
WALKIES – ON!! Sometimes it’s who you know? Whining helps! After I was having such a hissy fit about not being able to walk on the gravel road to nowhere, (because I am not an emergency vehicle), and it is posted “Private Property” – Bailey’s Mom contacted the person that put the gate and signs up – and the woman said if we promised not to run over 50 MPH on the road – we could use it for walkies? It works for me – my legs are too short to run very fast, and my leash is only 24 feet long so I can’t get much speed up before I get to the end of it!
It’s official – we now have a “Dog Park”? The other day when we drove by, there were a lot of dogs behind the fence? The park is on the corner of the busiest street in T.C., so of course it is fenced in. The idea behind the park is to give dogs a place to run – off leash. I don’t know if I want to visit the park – there were some “big” dogs – and they could run fast!
Anyway, we were on our way to the beach when we drove past the park. It was probably the last nice day this year – for swimming? Misty went with me, and we did a great job with our “dog paddles”. I guess the more you do it, the better you get? I was so proud of Misty, she didn’t cry or shake this time!
When we got home, Reecee came over and when Bailey saw us, he came over. But then Molly went by and stopped? We had our own “Dog Park”! Mom needs to take some lessons with the camera to get everybody in the picture – and not cut off Dad’s head!
I had a funny experience the other day (it wasn’t funny when it happened), but it got funnier the more I thought about it. When we took Gram home, we went to the Village to do some shopping. Dad really didn’t want to go into the store, so he stayed in the car with me. (We were parked in front of the store.) It was a nice day, so Dad put my window down. I couldn’t see very much because there was a flag on a post on the sidewalk in front of my window, and the wind kept blowing the flag in my face. Mom finally got her shopping done, and Dad put up my window before he pulled out into the street. CLUNK!! Mom turned around to see if I fell off of the seat, or fell on the floor? I was fine – BUT – we had a flag attached to the car hanging from my window!! Mom said – pull over here – she got out and took the flag off of the car! I was scared – Mom was embarrassed – and Dad drove the get-away car!
Of course, there were people walking down the street that saw what happened! Mom gracefully walked the flag down the street to where it was – but she couldn’t put it back where it had been – the wooden post had splintered from being jerked out of the hole in the sidewalk!
She laid it across the bench in front of the store?
Love and Kisses, Ruby
