Hi Everyone,
ROAD TRIP! I didn’t know where we were going, but after a long nap, we didn’t stop at the “bombs away” area. When we did stop, Dad took me to a small strip of grass between two parking lots? Well, I wasn’t going to do anything with all of those cars watching me! So, the next stop I “really had to go”. But, it was at Aunt Becky and Uncle Aveary’s. I went to visit PEPPER! (Their black lab) Pepper was glad to see me (I think?), but I sure tired her out. Well, she is too old to keep up with me!
While we were in Saginaw, Mom went shopping! SURPRISE! They have some “big” stores there. There was a big Pet Supplies store, BUT I didn’t get to go with Mom? She did find something for me, (I didn’t really NEED what she found!) I DON’T like it, but she insists I wear it – who needs an ELF HAT! It’s kind of embarrassing? Besides, Aunt Becky already calls me “ears”, so why do I need two more?
Wait ‘til you see my Christmas stocking! Not sure what I do with “one” stocking when I have “four” feet? There is a dog house that my picture goes in! The top was just plain – UNTIL Aunt Deb embroidered my name and a ribbon there! It hangs on the mantel attached to a PINE CONE – I love pine cones! This one is too heavy to carry away, and doesn’t have any smell?
I’M GOING ON VACATION – NO, just a “staycation”. While Mom and Dad are in Florida, I’m going to “stay” with Aunt Deb, Uncle Howard and Scarlett! Aunt Deb says it will be just like getting a toy for Christmas and having a whole week to play with it! (Guess she forgot I’m “some” work – not all play.) We’ll see how excited she is when I want to go out at 4:30 A.M.? I do come with Instructions: SIT (hand moves from nose to tail), DOWN: (palm down toward the floor), STAY: (palm toward my face), WAIT: (verbal only, until I get the OK, my release word for all commands), OFF: (this is a real test, because it is hard to do when I get excited I like to jump up, CRATE: (sometimes I do this on my own, when I am real tired). Dad thinks I will be “spoiled” by the time they get back? Uncle Howard said it “could” happen? When I was just a “puppy”, they volunteered to “puppy sit” – who would have thought they would be taken up on their offer?
My next correspondence will be my “Christmas Poem” – that will hold you over until next year!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Love and Puppy Kisses,
Ruby
