RUBY’S JOURNAL

Hi Everyone,
I am getting better – with the camper thing! My first experience was not good. I got sick! Sometimes I don’t like to eat on schedule. I get around to eating my breakfast for dinner. But when Aunt Deb is around, she feeds me by hand , so I don’t miss any meals? I just like all of the attention – but she doesn’t know that’s why I don’t eat? Anyway, after she finished feeding me – I threw up! It wasn’t the food she was feeding me, I think it was the hors d’ouve’s I ate down by the pond?
Some places we have gone to camp have rules I don’t like! I am supposed to be on a leash all the times, but I have been pretty good about staying around our lot. Except when Dad takes off for the building where the showers are, I thought I could go too? Mom doesn’t like to use the shower in the motor home because it’s my bedroom! The picture shows my crate in the shower, but it also has a skylight, and a night light across the hall – so I’m not in total darkness! I have a nightlight in my room at home.
There is a sign at the pools, “No Animals Allowed”? Well, they didn’t know that I wasn’t an “animal”, so I got in the pool and Dad held me so I could practice my dog paddle. We were the only ones in the pool so no one else saw us!
We got a chance to go visit my “birth” mother while we were up North. Misty and I were so excited to go, but when we got there we were a little over-whelmed when everyone started barking at the same time. (I guess they were very excited to see us too?) We also got to meet the new puppies. At first, Misty and I went out in the yard and found some toys to play with. No one was paying any attention to us with all of those “cute” little puppies! After the puppies crashed (they sleep in a pile on top of each other), I found one off by his/her self and tried to get acquainted, I don’t remember being that little, but I must have looked familiar because we touched noses!
Mom and Dad got new bikes to take along camping. My legs are too short to run along beside a bike, (besides, that would be too much work!). Some times it is too hot to go with them, so I got my own “wagon” that Dad pulls behind his bike. Now I am a “Croozer Dog”. It will hold a 99 pound dog, so there is room for Misty to go with me! I just lay there and let the wind blow through my hair while Dad does all the work!
Just wanted to let you know I am having a great Summer – hope you are too!
Love and Kisses,
Ruby
