Trick or Treats

RUBY’S JOURNAL

11-05-12

Hi Everyone,

Well,  I didn’t have a very good Halloween!  All I got were TRICKS!  I invited Misty to come over and go Trick or Treating with me.  It was a cold and rainy night, so she opted to stay home?

I got my costume on and Mom took me to Bailey’s first – I waited at the door (Mom knocked for me), but no one answered?  Finally I gave up and went home!

The only way I could have fun was to bark and wiggle when some kids came to my door!  I kept my costume on – they liked it!

Guess I’ll save the costume for next year – it will still fit – it was a little big for me this year, and I shouldn’t grow much more.

I think someone pulled another TRICK on me?  I went to visit Gram at Tendercare and she was using my green tennis balls?  I tried to get them off of the legs on the walker, but they wouldn’t come off!  Someone cut slits in them?  Now they will never roll again!  I really didn’t care if Gram wanted to use my tennis balls – I have lots of them – all sizes and colors.  I would have let her use my orange and black one for Halloween!  She doesn’t need them anymore,  because she came home!

One day when Dad had a lot of appointments, and he didn’t have time to take me for a walk,   he called Aunt Deb to see if I could go over and play with Misty?  It rained so we couldn’t play outside much!  We would go outside and just get started on some serious running games – it would start to rain!  We moved our games inside – but running on the slippery floors, and trying to turn the corners – we do a lot of spinning our wheels – and don’t get anywhere!

It finally turned out to be a nice day and I got to play outside – I found my orange Friz Bee.  I didn’t recognize it because it was upside down and had leaves and water in it!   Mom and Dad raked the leaves – again – in my part of the yard?  It had so many leaves they couldn’t find my “bombs away” deposits!

I was a REAL big help to Mom for a few days – she was sick and laid on the couch – so I laid beside her and kept her warm and cozy!  I even let her use my throw!

Love and Kisses,

Ruby
