RUBY’S JOURNAL

Hi Everyone,
I heard some of you wondered where I have been? Well, now I remember what “winter” is – LONG and BORING! I don’t have anyone come over to play, except Jack (Rabbit). Jack lives under the big pine tree by the bathroom window, so I follow him around, (I’ve never seen him, I just sniff where he goes.) sometimes he gets real close to my room – I saw his foot prints on the steps! Dad made a path half way around the house with the snow blower so I could have a little run. The snow banks were so high I couldn’t jump over them, I tried, but then I would have a hard time climbing out of the snow. I am getting sooo tired of coming in the house with snow balls hanging off of me! I’m not the only one that had a bad winter, the moose on the corner was killed? Well, he wasn’t alive, but the snow plow knocked him over! Uncle Bob was glad to see him tipped over, but someone stood him back up again – they wanted to get their mail!
Mom and Dad went to the Dominican for a vacation. (They were looking for some warm weather and sunshine.) So I had a “staycation” with Aunt Deb and Uncle Howard – and Misty of course. I love going to their house for a “staycation” because I get to sleep on Misty’s special therapeutic mattress. (If I get to her crate first.) We sleep in Aunt Deb and Uncle Howard’s bedroom, and sometimes we got to get in bed with them! I have never been on Mom and Dad’s bed? I may not want to come home the next time Mom and Dad leave me there!
Mom made Misty and Me matching coats, (Misty’s reverses to sherpa and mine reverses to fake fur – who needs “fake” fur when I have the real thing?) so when we went out together we looked like twins!
We did get to go on a little road trip – we went to a “show”. I guess it was for people only, because we had to stay in the car. When Mom came back to the car, she said there were bears at the show? They were “Yogi” and “BooBoo”? It was a Camper Show – and Aunt Deb asked me if I wanted to be a “camper dog”? I’ve never met any bears before, so I’m not sure if I want to be a “camper dog”! But I do like being a “car dog”. Misty and I are such good riders – we just find a soft lap or blanket and take a nap!
I know Spring is just around the corner, (or snow bank) so maybe I will be having a “funner” time SOON!
Love and Kisses,
Ruby
