Hi Everyone,
Dad was reading the latest Township Newsletter and there was an article about an ordinance that requires dogs to be leashed – at all times. Well, we certainly have that under control. I now have a longer leash (23 feet), so when I go for walks I can have a little more freedom! But, if I wander too far off, Dad just pushes a button and I have to come back? It is supposed to be for my own good?
I have heard about so many licenses and ordinances I’m confused! I have to have a license just because I have four legs! OOPS – that hasn’t happened yet! In order to get a “dog” license you need to have rabies shot. Well, I just got the shot so now I have to get the license. Pretty soon I will need a charm bracelet to hold all of my tags!
I saw Uncle Bob being interviewed on TV. I hardly recognized him without Bea? He’s a “big shot” Trustee of the Township we live in don’t you know! Well, he was talking about the Township granting “Licker Licenses” to some restaurants. WHEW, I don’t have to apply for one of those – I already have one! My rug says I can’t control my licker! When Uncle Bob brought Bea down the other day to play, I was sooo tired (I was just getting home from Day Care) that I could hardly stay awake!
This past week Mom and Dad put me in my crate during the day for five long hours! They had some lame excuse about something they had to take care of and I wasn’t invited! Well, the gall, I’ve never been left in my crate for five hours in the daytime before. (Boy did I have fun!) I took a nap, and then I woke up and then I took another nap! I guess I was a “little” lonesome, because when Dad let me out, I acted pretty “dogish”, that’s puppy talk for “childish”. I heard Dad tell Mom, “You would think we left her alone for a week. She needs to grow up!” Well, OK I’ll try to be better next time.
Sam was feeling better this week, so I went to my class. Mom took a picture of me with one of Sam’s dogs, he only brought Charlie this week. Charlie was kind of bored and just laid in the middle of the room – while I had to WORK! Mom thinks they must have a REALLY big house to have three “Newfies”!
Love and Puppy Kisses,
Ruby
