Hi Everyone,
I survived the winter – with a lot of help! The calendar says it’s Spring – but the ground is white again!
I got a new coat for Christmas from Aunt Deb, Uncle Howard and Misty. It is extra heavy ( and my first “store bought” coat) so when Dad had to take me out in the morning when the thermometer was -22 it really felt good.
I had a “stay cation” with Misty while Mom and Dad went to Florida, and Misty had a “visit” with me while Uncle Howard had his knee replacement.
I hope I don’t have to have a knee replacement, but during my last camping trip I had a problem with my knee. I was a “Yooper” (Yooper is now a word in the new dictionaries?) for a week and while I was running to get my Frisbee my back leg fell in a hole. I couldn’t let anyone know how much my leg hurt because we had a trip on the Tooterville Trolly and a boat ride to the Tahquamenon Falls the next day. Well, when we got ready to get on the train, a guy asked Dad if I was limping – BUSTED!
It was a cold boat ride, (Mom forgot my jacket!) but Aunt Deb had a blanket she wrapped around me so my leg got a rest until we got off the boat and had to walk down the trail to the steps down to the Falls. Mom said she didn’t think I could walk down and up all of those steps, so Dad carried me! I’m not really spoiled – I was in pain! The steps were uneven, so it would have been hard on my short legs – 62 steps!
Dad called Dr. Burke to get an appointment for her to look at my leg as soon as we got home. When she felt of my leg the first time it didn’t hurt, but the second time-OUCH! My knee was out of joint, and she put it back in? I got some pain pills and had to stay quiet for a few days. It felt better when I wasn’t walking on three legs!
But, I had another problem this winter. While Dad and I were out for a walk, (we didn’t walk a lot because it was so cold.) I slipped on some ice. When I started walking on three legs, Mom said we should have my knee checked out again? This time it was just a sprain, but I went on pain pills for a few days and didn’t take walks for awhile.
Do you think I need a knee replacement too? 42814
Love and Kisses,
